This easy Autumn tart requires only the most approximate of measuring, with a deliciously decadent result that's perfect for sweater season.
Ingredients
- 1 Pecan pie crust (6oz)
- 1 Tin Gingerbread Cane Sugar
- 1 1/2 Cups apple sauce
- 1 1/2 Cups toasted pecans (roughly chopped)
- 1/2 Cup condensed milk
- 1/2 Cup caramel sauce
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- In a large bowl, combine all ingredients, stirring until well combined.
- Place pecan pie crust in a ceramic tart dish, like this handsome one from Emile Henry, and fill with tart mixture.
- Bake uncovered, for 45-50 minutes, then remove and allow to cool for at least 1 hour before slicing into it.
- Serve with a big dollop of whipped cream, and devour.
